Trapiche amethyst is a rare and unusual type of amethyst characterized by its distinctive radial, spoke-like pattern of colors and inclusions. This pattern, similar to the spokes of a milling wheel (a "trapiche"), gives the gemstone its name. The inclusions within the amethyst can be a variety of minerals, and the color variations often include different shades of purple making this a unique piece! They are found in Brazil by the Amazon.
