Our First Blog + Candle Announcement!

Hi, hello from Los Gatos, California! We are excited to write our first blog and update you on what has been going on. Since launching our online shop in October 2023, two years later, lots has changed! We have since introduced handmade jewelry, car vent clips, attended dozens of popups in Northern California... we didn't want to stop there! We now make our own Allurian Crystals branded non-toxic, clean burning vegan candles and we are thrilled to share them with you!

While there are millions of candles out on the market, we did not find any that met all three of our must haves. Mass produced candles do not have the quality we had in mind and they tend to be cheap for a reason; mix of waxes, toxic wick and fragrances. We want you to know you're paying for high quality premium wax (no fillers), fragrance and crystals when you shop with us; quality not quantity.

Why our candles are different:

1. 100% soy wax, vegan - Our candles are 100% soy wax and they do not contain paraffin or other wax blends/fillers like 90% of candles on the market. Soy wax is biodegradable, cleaner-burning, and often burns longer than other waxes.

   
   

2. Clean burning wick - our wicks are 100% cotton and do not contain a metal core, particularly lead like some imported or cheaper wicks.

   
   

3. Non-toxic - the fragrance oils we use are phthalate and paraben free. Phthalates and parabens (benzene, toluene and formaldehyde) can disrupt hormones and can be toxic to humans and pets. They tend to be found household items such as cosmetics, perfumes, oils, lotions and hairsprays. Without proper ventilation, toluene exposure can irritate your eyes, nose, throat and skin. It can also cause more serious side effects such as headaches, dizziness, confusion and anxiety. Icky!

After we nailed down our three 'must haves', we knew wanted to incorporate crystals. We are Allurian Crystals after all! But not just random tumbles like we see in other candles, but crystals that have points, clusters, those that have meaning and purpose. We wanted to make sure there was something special for everyone and that's why we have over 15 different crystals offered for our hand poured, vegan, candles.
